Goodbye 2013, I have loved and hated you. You have given me many challenges and left me exhausted to step into this new year.
In 2013 we lived in 3 houses moving twice. Things always happen for a reason and as a result we were blessed to move into an amazing house out of town. The girls absolutely love it and Daddy'O is in his element!! The chooks also love it.
Charm has finished kinder, something that has brought to us many beautiful friendships.
Ishta is still being demand breastfeed, which includes falling asleep on my boob, occasional night feeds and many during the day. I am happily doing this, I enjoy our connection and don't see an end too soon.
2013 also saw me take charge of my health and become a vegetarian again. Best move of my life!!
I also stepped out of my comfort zone and started a small business (with 4 others) mid year. I only work 3 days a month so the girls aren't impacted by this. This has given me those moments away from motherhood to nourish myself. It has also put me into my sewing room most nights when the girls are sleeping.
Sleeping arrangements are still mummy wedged between two beauty's and Daddy'O in the spare bed. Works for us and we're happy.
On the 17th of October the girls turned 2 and 5 and we celebrated in style... pirate style!! We had an amazing party with almost 100 guests, everybody got into the spirit of things and dressed for the occasion.
So 2013 is over, all too quickly really. Yes I am tired but keen for what amazingness this 2014 holds for me and my family.

Smiles, tears and big girl boots
I love that my girls love dress ups as much as they do. Their play changes so dramatically the second they become someone else. Yesterday they were teenagers wearing my heeled boots.

Out to the country
Good fortune came as it often does through what at first seemed like a shitty life moment. Having received a vacate notice ( so the landlord could move in) we were forced to leave our comfortable cottage. Only recently I finished unpacking now I was having to pack once more. I looked at so many bad houses that just didn't fit the needs of my family, then it happened, after a day of tears and despair, "the perfect house ". Out of town, child friendly, a space for my sewing, enough room for our chickens, close to daddyO's work, truly it accommodates every need of my family. We have been here only a few days but it just keeps getting better. I love our new home!!!

Some clean air
After being stuck indoors stifled by illness and the air of germs, some clean Bush air was the order of the day. It gave us all a chance to ground and reconnect.
